Shane Cornman filed for his first term on City Council in January of 2018 and was elected by the voters of the Fourth Ward in April of that same year. He wants to make a difference with the City's finances and find a permanent location for City Hall. Councilman Cornman was elected by his peers as Mayor Pro Tem for the 2021 - 2022 term. He was then elected Mayor by the Council in April 2023. Councilman Cornman was elected for a second term as Mayor on April 15, 2024. On April 21, 2025 Mr. Cornman was once again elected by the Council to serve as Mayor making him only the second consecutive three-term Mayor.
