Buff Up the Bluff

“BUFF UP THE BLUFF” FALL 2021

 

The Poplar Bluff clean-up will be Saturday, October 16, 2021 (8:00-3:30) at the Poplar Bluff Leaf Disposal Site.  The site is southeast of Twin Towers (signs will be posted).  County Road 604 adjoining South “F” Street.

Proof of city residency required.

The materials to be accepted at the site include:

BULKY ITEMS AND NON-GARBAGE SOLID WASTE

BULK METAL ITEMS:

(Refrigerators, Freezers and Air Conditioners MUST have compressors removed before bringing to site). If compressors aren’t removed, items will not be accepted!!!

No Loads of asphalt shingles.

No Trash from business or construction sites.

NO PAINT. (empty paint cans ok.)

OTHER BULKY ITEMS:

Furniture, Carpeting, Construction Materials

LIMBS AND BRUSH:              (NO LIMBS, BRUSH PICKED UP FOR ELDERLY)

Limbs and brush will be accepted at clean-up site, no logs or stumps, no wire or metal, must be of manageable size.  These items will have to be unloaded by individuals bringing to clean-up site.

TIRES 

Tires will be accepted by Ozark Foothills Recycling with the following charges:

$3.00 per passenger car tire. Large Truck Tires no longer accepted (NO TIRES WILL BE ACCEPTED IF ON RIMS)

LEAVES:

Leaves will be placed in a separate pile from all other materials.  Each person bringing leaves will be responsible for removing them from the vehicle and containers.  No plastic bags or foreign material may be left at leaf disposal site.

ELDERLY CURBSIDE PICKUP/CALL – IN

 

Items will be picked up for elderly (65 and older) ONLY

If prior arrangements have been made by calling the following number.

Calls will be accepted weekdays, Monday, October 5 thru Thursday, October 8, 2020.

from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

No calls will be taken after Thursday, October 8, 2020.

 This will be the only way to be included in the curbside pickups.

Please DO NOT call if you DO NOT qualify.

 

Pick-ups will be SATURDAY, October 16, 2021

 

We do accept computers and tvs.
