Steve Davis is one of the At-Large Councilman elected in April 2017 for his first term. He is a graduate of Poplar Bluff High School, Three Rivers College and Southeast Missouri State University. Councilman Davis retired from the State of Missouri after serving 23 years as a probation and parole officer and also has ten years combined service with the Butler County Sheriff and Juvenile Offices. Councilman Davis desires to make a positive difference in City government and to help our community grow to its utmost potential, This is very important to him, having grown up in the area where many of his family members have been public servants. He is married to Donna and has two sons, Mitchell and Matthew. He is available to hear all concerns and to help seek out positive solutions for the citizens of Poplar Bluff. Steve is a certified Municipal Official and received his accreditation in 2018 through the Missouri Municipal League Governance Institute. Steve was elected by his peers as Mayor for the 2021 - 2022 term.
